Loan duo not staying on at Falkirk

Falkirk are ready to hand Pedro Moutinho a deal until the end of the season as loan duo Kjartan Finnbogason and Alex MacDonald head for the exit door. Moutinho initially signed a short-term deal until the end of the year after arriving at Falkirk for a second spell in November The Portuguese forward has impressed since his return and Bairns boss Eddie May is keen to keep him on a longer deal. "I wanted to sign Pedro after just two days as manager but he had contractual issues with his last club and was kept in limbo for several months because of them. "That left him without match sharpness and it was better to give him a short-term deal to prove he still had the appetite to perform in the SPL. He has shown that and will be staying." However, former Celtic youngster Finnbogason and Burnley forward MacDonald will not have their loans extended and will leave Falkirk in January. "We won't keep Finnbogason or MacDonald and with Jack Compton coming in we will be looking at a few more additions in January," added May.
