Aberdeen boss Mark McGhee says there is no 'time limit' to agree a new contract with full-back Charlie Mulgrew.
The 23-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, but the former Wolves defender has been offered terms to stay at Pittodrie.
Mulgrew's agent has called on the Dons to make the player an offer he can not refuse to prove how much they want to keep him at the club.
However, McGhee is in no rush to finalise a deal for Mulgrew and believes the onus now lies with the player and his representative.
McGhee said: "There's no time limit.
"The ball is in Charlie and the agent's court and there's nothing we can do about that apart from making what we believe to be a really fantastic offer."
