Hearts midfielder hits back at Laszlo in club versus country row

Hearts midfielder Laryea Kingston has hit back at Csaba Laszlo in their club versus country row. The Ghanaian international angered the Hearts boss after twice playing for his national side in the past week. It is the second time this year that the midfielder, whose contract runs out in the summer, has defied Laszlo's wishes and played for Ghana after Hearts have declared him unfit. But the 28-year-old, who has not played for Hearts this season due to a persistent knee injury, has no intention of backing down in the row.

Problem

He said: "If the coach has a problem with me, he should simply say so and not use my national team commitment against me. "I have played for a lot of clubs but I can play for only one national team. "I am like a soldier who must stand up for his country at any time." Laszlo was angered after Kingston played the final quarter of Ghana's win over Sudan last weekend which secured their place in next summer's World Cup finals in South Africa. The midfielder then also started Wednesday's friendly against Japan in Holland.
