Goalkeeper Graeme Smith has left Rangers for St Johnstone in a bid to play first-team football.
The 26-year-old has joined the SPL new boys after finding himself only the third-choice keeper at Ibrox, behind both Neil Alexander and Allan McGregor in boss Walter Smith's plans.
He was recruited by Rangers on a free transfer from Kilmarnock in June 2007 but made just one competitive appearance for the club when he featured in the 6-0 Scottish Cup demolition of East Stirling in January 2008.
He is the third senior player to leave Ibrox this summer, following Christian Dailly and Brahim Hemdani out of the exit door.
Walter Smith told Rangers World: "It's been awkward for Graeme over the last couple of seasons he has been with us.
"He hasn't been getting the amount of football he would have wanted but he has always handled himself very well, he is very professional in his approach to doing things.
"St Johnstone have given him the opportunity to come back and the opportunity of getting a game on a more regular basis.
"We wish him well and hope he does well."
