Falkirk have completed the signing of former Motherwell defender Brian McLean on a two-year contract.
McLean recently left Fir Park after an injury-plagued spell with the club and he missed several months of last season with a knee injury.
He has now become Eddie May's first signing and the new Falkirk manager is delighted to have added the 24-year-old to his squad.
"Brian is someone I have admired for some time and all of the staff are delighted to have acquired a player of his calibre," May told the club's official website.
"He has already been capped at every level by Scotland, apart from the senior side, and has also represented the Northern Ireland senior team.
"He was troubled by an injury at Motherwell, but is now over that and we are getting a player who, at 24, is just about at his prime.
"Although Brian can play in more than one position, I see him as a central defender and he will enhance the team, there is no doubt about that."
