The SFA have confirmed that they will study footage of Glenn Loovens' challenge on Maurice Edu in Saturday's Old Firm derby clash at Ibrox.
Rangers man Edu looked like his game was over when he crumpled to the ground just before half-time after a late challenge by the Celtic defender.
The 23-year-old, though, managed to stumble to his feet to assist Rangers in defending their slender 1-0 advantage and subsequent victory over their league rivals.
However, the SFA must now study video footage in relation to the challenge before deciding upon a necessary course of action.
"We review incidents every Monday morning," and SFA spokeswoman said.
"This incident has been drawn to our attention and will be looked at and then the referee will be asked for his opinion.
"If the referee missed the incident, and it requires further investigation, it will go to the Review Panel."
