Bhoys ace hopes manager says at Parkhead

Scott Brown is surprised English clubs are not queuing up to secure Celtic manager Gordon Strachan's services. Strachan has impressed during his time at Parkhead in winning the SPL title for the past three seasons, along with claiming the Scottish Cup once and League Cup twice. The former Southampton boss has also claimed the SPFA Manager of the Year award three out of his four campaigns in charge and Brown hopes the club's hierarchy do all they can to ensure he remains at the helm. "The big clubs would be stupid not to be thinking about taking our manager," claimed Brown.

Such a record

"When you look at what he has done - winning three leagues in a row plus cups - in just three seasons you realise there aren't many managers with such a record. "It's up to the manager and Peter Lawwell what happens in the future but I am sure Peter will be looking at doing something in terms of talks to keep him here. "I hope he stays as long as possible. "I'm enjoying it now and that's why I came here - to enjoy the football and be with a good manager."
Star could stay
Brown himself has been tipped for a move to the Premier League, but Strachan does not believe the 23-year-old necessarily needs to change clubs in other to further his career. "It's not inevitable he moves on," said Strachan. "I think there are players who stay at clubs for a long time. "It depends how much they enjoy it. How good he'll be is what we should be looking at. "Where he goes, I don't know - it's up to him. But he can play at a really high level, that's for sure."
