Lee Wallace has committed his long-term future to Hearts after signing a new three-year deal that keeps him at Tynecastle until 2012.
The one-time Scotland U21 international completed the formalities of the new contract on Friday afternoon.
Wallace joined the Edinburgh club as a 12-year-old and has come through the ranks at Hearts to establish himself as a first-team regular.
"I am obviously very happy. It has been a good season for the team so far and I'm looking forward to helping bring more success to Tynecastle," he told Hearts News.
"This helps secure my future and gives me a bit of stability which is great.
"Now I just want to concentrate on playing well for the club and help us get into Europe."
