Duo end Leeds trial

Keith Gillespie's trial at Elland Road has ended, whilst veteran Mo Camara has secured a move to St Mirren.

Gillespie trial ends whilst Camera heads north of the border

Keith Gillespie's trial at Elland Road has ended, with the Whites unable to offer the 34-year-old a contract. The experienced winger began training with Leeds earlier this month following his departure from Sheffield United. Having made just one appearance for the Blades this term, Gillespie terminated his contract with the hope of securing regular football elsewhere. However, boss Simon Grayson has decided against signing the Northern Ireland international, saying the club have more than enough options in midfield.

Decision

"We've had a good look at him, it's the right thing to do when a player of his ilk becomes available," Grayson told the Yorkshire Post. "But we've decided that he's not going to get a contract with us because I feel we've got enough options in this position. "He's a great professional and he's had a great career, but it's probably in the best interests of everyone for him to look elsewhere. "It wouldn't be right to add him to the squad at this time."
Deal
Meanwhile, defender Mo Camara has penned a deal with SPL outfit St Mirren following a trial spell at Elland Road. The veteran left-back will join the Scottish side until the end of the season after failing to agree a deal with Leeds.
