Celtic midfielder Massimo Donati remains hopeful of sealing a return to Italy after being linked with a move to Sampdoria.
Donati is eager to quit Parkhead before the close of the transfer window after falling out of favour with the SPL champions this season.
He recently admitted he would be keen to rejoin Atalanta, where he has previously spent a spell on loan, only for the Serie A side to rule out a deal.
However, Sampdoria have now been linked with a bid and Donati is waiting on a phone call from clubs back in his homeland.
"I do not know anything about a Sampdoria offer and for the moment I keep training hard as usual," Donati told the Daily Record.
"But I look forward to a call from Italy within the transfer period and I would carefully consider every option.
"My target is to get back to Italy."
