Rangers striker Kris Boyd has revealed he nearly quit the Ibrox club last summer.
The former Kilmarnock hit-man was omitted from key matches last season which forced him to consider his options.
However, with Daniel Cousin now sold to Hull City, Boyd is first-choice under Walter Smith and enjoying life again in the blue half of Glasgow.
Boyd has admitted he loves Rangers and is thrilled he is now a first-team regular and able to play a key part in the club's quest for silverware.
"I thought maybe my time was up and I'd have to move on," he said.
"I thought about it over the summer but decided to give it another shot.
"I didn't want to walk away and give up on the club I love as easy as that.
"I've always wanted to play here and be a part of success.
"I got a taste of that last season and want more this year."
