Celtic keeper Artur Boruc could be out for a month after surgery on Monday.

The Polish shot-stopper has been an ever-present for the Hoops so far this season but is due under the surgeon's knife to rectify a troublesome knee injury.

He will be available to play in the SPL clash against Motherwell on Saturday but could then miss Celtic's last two UEFA Champion's League Group E fixtures against Aalborg and Villarreal.

Mark Brown is likely to deputise in his absence.
