Striker ruled out

Dundee United striker Roy O'Donovan could miss the rest of the month with a hamstring injury. The Irishman, who had to be withdrawn during last weekend's 2-1 defeat at Hibernian, did not suffer a tear but is still expected to miss the next three matches. United boss Craig Levein has ruled out the on-loan Sunderland man for this weekend's trip to Aberdeen. "The injury is just a strain, but Roy won't make this week's game and possibly the next couple as well," Levein told the Evening Telegraph. Meanwhile, Levein is considering sending Keith Watson out on loan as the youngster battles back from a lengthy spell on the sidelines. The highly-rated 18-year-old only recently returned to action after dislocating his knee almost 18 months ago. "Keith is still a bit away from being ready and I think he needs to go out on loan," said Levein. "But he's not 100 per cent fit yet and I don't want to send him out on loan and worry about him picking up an injury. "He's been out for 18 months and, once he gets another two or three reserve games under his belt, we'll take it from there."
