Lille boss Rudi Garcia has ruled out the possibility of a move for Rangers striker Daniel Cousin.
The Ligue 1 side are desperately short of attacking options, and with the season already underway are keen to strengthen before it is too late.
Lille are depleted due to Belgium international Kevin Mirallas' decision to represent his country at the Olympics and Pierre-Alain Frau suffering a double leg fracture.
Cousin was believed to be one of the names touted as a possible new arrival, but Garcia has made it clear that he has no interest in signing the Gabon star.
"We will probably need an additional forward after the injury to Pierre-Alain," he said.
"We still have 20 days until the transfer window closes.
"We may be able to sort something out at the last moment, but as time passes we have fewer choices.
"Daniel Cousin? He has been mentioned to us, as have other players, but you will not see him at Lille."
