Hibernian ace Steven Fletcher has laughed off talk linking him with a possible move to Real Madrid.

Reports last weekend suggested Spanish titans were tracking the Scotland Under 21 international, who scored a hat-trick in Wednesday's win over Gretna.

Fletcher, who recently signed a new deal at Easter Road, admits he laughed at the Real Madrid rumours and is concentrating on progressing under Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen .

"I just laughed at the story, I thought it was quite funny," said Fletcher. "To be fair, I had a fair bit of stick from the boys in the dressing room and my mates were giving me stick too. They were just laughing and I've laughed it off.

"I've worked with different strikers since I first came to the club, Derek Riordan, Garry O'Connor and Chris Killen, and kind of learned off all of them.

"The new gaffer has obviously come in and now he's working with me. I'm enjoying it here."
