Steven Fletcher fired a hat-trick as Hibernian thumped Gretna 4-2 and moved up to sixth in the SPL.
Hibs were ahead at Easter Road after just ten minutes when Colin Nish fired home from just six yards after good work from Filipe Morais down the right.
It was not too long before Hibs extended their lead as Fletcher claimed his first after 19 minutes when he volleyed home.
Just before the hour and Morais was again the architect and it was Fletcher on hand to seal his brace as he fired home from the edge of the box.
Basement side Gretna then battled their way back into the game. Firstly Gavin Skelton (81) pulled one back, then real hope of getting something from the game arose as Kenny Deuchar scored.
But their hope was short-lived as Craig Fleming gave away a penalty and was dismissed, and that gave Fletcher the chance to claim the matchball and he duly obliged.
