Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor has lost his appeal against his sending-off in Sunday's Scottish Cup fifth-round tie against Hibernian at Easter Road.
McGregor was red carded by referee Craig Thomson near the end of the goalless draw when he brought down Dean Shiels just outside the box.
The Ibrox club launched an appeal claming their keeper had got a touch on the ball as he challenged the Irishman.
However, a statement on the SFA's official website confirmed that Thomson, after viewing footage of the match, had "indicated that he is content with his decision to send the player off".
McGregor will miss the replay which is scheduled for Tuesday 4th March, if Rangers are knocked out of the Uefa Cup this month by Panathinaikos.
If Rangers beat the Greek side, the game will go ahead on quarter-final day - Saturday, 8th March.
The last-eight encounter between the winners and either Partick Thistle or Livingston would then take place on Wednesday, 19th March.
