Rangers are reportedly to make a late bid for Italy international striker Andrea Caracciolo.
A Gers representative is believed to have flown to Milan to finalise a potential 10million Euros deal (£7.4million).
The Ibrox club's funds were boosted in midweek following the sale of Alan Hutton to Premier League outfit Spurs.
Caracciolo, who has two caps for his country, currently plays for Sampdoria, but is co-owned by Palermo.
Rangers are not the only interested party, with Brescia and Torino also keen on securing Sampdoria's stake in the player.
Either way, Caracciolo's future will be resolved on transfer deadline day.
