Rangers striker Jean-Claude Darcheville will appeal against his three-match European ban at a hearing in Switzerland on 7th February.
Darcheville will make his case to Uefa's appeals body in Nyon and has the right to take a Rangers representative and a lawyer with him.
The 32-year-old was sent off for his challenge on the Lyon midfielder Kim Kallstrom in Rangers' final UEFA Champions League group game on 12th December
If his appeal is rejected, Darcheville will miss both legs of the Uefa Cup tie against Panathinaikos.
The three-game suspension means he will also miss the first leg of the meeting with Werder Bremen or Braga in the last 16, should the Gers make it past Panathinaikos.
