Celtic are interested in signing Daniel van Buyten, according to the player's agent.
The Bayern Munich defender is believed to be considering his future after struggling to hold down a regular place in the starting XI this season.
Everton have been linked with a move for the Belgian international, but now Celtic have been credited with an interest in the imposing centre-back.
Bhoys boss Gordon Strachan could be in the market for defensive reinforcements with Bobo Balde expected to move on to Bolton.
Van Buyten's agent Christophe Henrotay claims he has spoken to Strachan regarding the former Manchester City player.
"It is true that Celtic are very interested in Van Buyten," Henrotay told The Scottish Sun.
"Gordon has been on the phone to ask me about Van Buyten.
"Daniel would like to stay with Bayern, but anything is possible because at the moment he is not playing regularly."
