Artur Boruc is thrilled at his new Celtic contract and is now focusing all his energies on regaining his fitness.
The Poland international, who has played just once in the last month, is currently working his way back to full fitness after undergoing knee surgery.
Boruc penned a three-year extension at Parkhead earlier this month that ties him to the SPL champions until the summer of 2011.
The former Legia Warsaw shot-stopper also believes the capture of German defender Andreas Hinkel from Liga outfit Sevilla will prove a fine acquisition.
"The timing of the new deal is perfect for me," Boruc told the Daily Record.
"I can feel myself getting strong every day after my knee operation and it's been a good week for the club with the signing of Andreas Hinkel from Sevilla.
"It's been a great time because it means I can prepare myself and concentrate on the big games to come without worrying about anything.
"It means I can stay focused on football alone now, work hard and continue trying to be the best goals I can be."
