Alan Hutton is hoping for more appearances for Scotland after making his competitive debut in their weekend win over Lithuania.
Hutton is not assuming he will retain his starting place against France on Wednesday, but is hopeful he has done enough to tackle the Group B leaders from the off.
"I have always wanted to play for my country and now I have had my first start in a qualifier and hopefully I can go on from there," said Hutton.
"It was my first ever game at Hampden actually, so it was a great experience for myself and hopefully there will be many more.
"I have been here watching games and the atmosphere has always been brilliant so it was no different.
"I think I did all right so we will just wait and see for the next game what the manager says."
