Hargreaves laments Gulls display

Chris Hargreaves admits he felt like giving Torquay fans their money back after another loss, this time at Southend.

Their 1-0 defeat leaves the Gulls seven points adrift at the foot of the Football League with six games remaining. And he says things are looking bleak for the club but insists he will stick to his job description. "It would have to be one hell of an achievement now," he told the Herald Express. "It's a massive task. "I want us to go and produce and we didn't, and it made me feel like I wanted to give the money back to the fans who went all that way. "My remit hasn't changed since I came in: I said I would make the club sustainable by bringing through young players, and that's what I intend to do. "I was told it was 'keep them up or take them back up' and that hasn't changed."
