Torquay manager Martin Ling has revealed they have made a fresh bid for Swindon forward Billy Bodin.
The Robins rejected an approach from the Gulls for Bodin last week, but reports suggest the prospective fee has been upped from £40,000 to £70,000. "I expect we will get a decision on Billy within the next 48 hours, but we're closer on a deal today than we were on Friday," Ling told BBC Devon. Wales Under-21 international Bodin scored five times in 19 games during a loan spell with Torquay last term before finishing the season with a stint at Crewe. Steve Davis' League One newboys are another possible destination for a player who has been told he can leave after boss Paolo Di Canio bolstered his Swindon squad with the additions of Tommy Miller, Gary Roberts, Andy Williams and James Collins.
