Davis relishing Bodin return

Crewe boss Steve Davis is pleased Billy Bodin will be at his disposal for Saturday's vital clash with Torquay.

On-loan Swindon forward Bodin was enjoying a successful spell with the Gulls earlier this term when he completed the scoring in a comfortable 3-0 victory over the Railwaymen at Gresty Road in November. The 20-year-old is yet to find the net in six appearances for Alex, but Davis believes he has a vital role to play in the club's npower League Two play-off bid. "He was a thorn that day," Davis said. "He left Carl (Martin) on his backside for one of the goals - a terrific finish. We haven't seen that finish yet here but he's doing as well as he possibly can. "I think he's improving with every game, he's a talented lad and he has caught my eye a few times when I've watched him. "He looks a Crewe-type forward with lots of skill and ability and we haven't seen the best of him by a long way yet. So hopefully he's saving that goal for Saturday against the team he spent three months with. They'll know exactly what he's capable of."
