Eunan O'Kane wants to help Torquay climb the League Two ladder and will not be taking any transfer speculation seriously.
The midfielder has been a revelation in the yellow of the Gulls since making his debut at Plainmoor almost two years ago and has been an integral part of the Devon outfit's recent run of five victories in seven league games.
But, despite being the subject of rumoured interest from a handful of clubs from up and down the Football League, the 21-year-old is focused on his job in the south west.
"I don't really take any notice of any of that. It's nice to hear that kind of thing when a manager says it and it brings a smile to your face but everything in football is rumours," he said. "Someone could've started that down the street in the pub for all you know and you've got to take it all with a pinch of salt.
"I'm happy here, and until someone comes to me to tell me that there's been a bid that's been accepted for me, I don't need to think about it.
"I enjoy it down here. If someone in the Championship was to come in it's very hard to say no but it would be taking the right move for me and my career. I'm not going to walk away from Torquay just for a few extra pounds."
