Lathrope: Crawley to win title

Torquay United midfielder Damon Lathrope has picked out leaders Crawley Town as the only stand-out team in League Two.

Lathrope has made 16 league appearances for the Gulls this term, the latest of those coming in Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Accrington which ended a six-match unbeaten run which had put the Devon club within a point of the play-off places. And having seen almost all of the other teams in the division at close hand, the 22-year-old is convinced there are very few clubs who stand head and shoulders above the rest in terms of quality on the pitch. "Crawley are going to be a big threat," Lathrope said. "They're the best team we've played and they've thrown a bit of money at it and they have a massive squad with maybe 30 players. "They could change their first team round two or three times easily. I would not be surprised if they ran away with it, but other than them there's no-one that stands out. "It's a very open league and I don't see three or four teams that stand out to be tougher."
