Parry offers hope to Joss

Tranmere manager Les Parry believes midfielder Joss Labadie is the unluckiest player on the Prenton Park staff.

Labadie starred as an experienced Rovers reserve side beat Oldham 2-0 on Tuesday, winning and converting a first-half penalty before crashing a stinging volley against the woodwork. However, the midfielder finds his way to the first team blocked by the impressive form of John Welsh and Robbie Weir, and Parry expressed sympathy with the 21-year-old's plight. "Josh is the most unfortunate player in our squad to be quite honest with you," he said. "He's performing week-in, week-out in the reserves, he's doing very well and his attitude has been superb. "Yet Welsh and Weir are playing really well together, and that's what's keeping Josh out of the side. I think in any other circumstances he'd have had his chance. "I had a chat with him last week. I said he's just got to wait out his chance and when he gets it take it with both hands."
