Torquay manager Paul Buckle has expressed his delight in extending the loan of Joe Oastler until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old, who can play in defence or midfield, saw his initial deal expire following the 1-1 draw with Gillingham at the weekend before an extension was agreed with parent club QPR.
Buckle told the Herald Express: "It's good news - Joe has been committed and very much part of our squad for a while now.
"He can play in more than one position which is important."
Oastler did not return to QPR following the end of his initial loan spell, instead choosing to stay and train with the rest of the Gulls squad in preparation for Saturday's FA Cup fourth-round tie against Crawley.
