Boston manager Steve Evans has insisted he is not worried by having no water supply at York Street.

The Malkinson family, who own the ground, have cut off the supply until Saturday's game against Chester after the club failed to pay the water rates.

However, Evans believes the lack of water is the least of his problems as the pitch at York Street is in excellent condition.

"Our pitch is one of, if not the best, pitches in League Two and having no water supply won't affect it ahead of the Chester game," he explained.

Boston only have three games remaining in their battle against relegation, and Evans has just nine senior players for this weekend's clash.

"The reality is that we've got nine professional footballers available for Saturday and we'll be down to just two substitutes, both just 16-year-old youth-team players."
