Silkmen ready to bolster their options by signing attacking full-back

Sky Sports understands Macclesfield are poised to swoop for AFC Wimbledon right-back Ryan Jackson. The 21-year-old is available on a free transfer after his contract with the League Two outfit expired this summer. Jackson rose through the ranks at the Dons and showed his versatility as he was sometimes deployed as a right-winger. Macclesfield boss Steve King, however, is wasting no time as he sets about rebuilding a team that will get the Silkmen back into the League. The Cheshire-based outfit were relegated to the Conference last term but King believes with an injection of talented youngsters such as Jackson, they can be a competitive side next season.
