Macclesfield Town have lost midfielder Mark Bailey for the rest of the season with an Achilles problem.
Bailey had been suffering from the injury for some time and opted to correct the problem by having surgery.
Despite the success of the operation, Bailey will miss Macclesfield's end-of-season run-in.
The club's top-scorer in Clyde Wijnhard is already out for up to three weeks after undergoing a knee cartilage operation, while fellow striker Michael Byrne has had surgery on a metatarsal bone in his foot.
The injury situation has already prompted Silkmen boss Brian Horton to consider bringing in an attacker on loan before Thursday's Football League loan deadline.
