Hatfield leaves Accrington

Will Hatfield has left Accrington by mutual consent so he can find a club who can offer more regular first-team football.

The 23-year-old midfielder has made almost 100 appearances for the east Lancashire club since joining in 2011 but has not played for Stanley since October and has recently been out on loan at non-league side Halifax. "Will wants to be playing first-team football and we understand that," manager John Coleman told the League Two club's official website. "He's a great lad who is full of enthusiasm and will find another club quickly. "When you have the squad and the competition for places that we have here then some players will have fewer opportunities than they would like and we have no problem with them wanting to play games."
