Rose extends Accrington loan

Teenage goalkeeper Jack Rose will see in the new year as an Accrington player after extending his loan from West Brom.

The 19-year-old moved to Stanley in November on a one-month deal and has now agreed terms on an extension which will keep him in east Lancashire until January 17. That means Rose could be between the sticks for a potential FA Cup third-round tie against Manchester United, which Accrington would seal if they defeated Yeovil in their second-round replay. "I've had a great time already," Rose said. "I feel like I've fitted in well and everyone's made me feel welcome. To have the loan deal extended is great for me and hopefully it's great for the club as well. "This is a great group of lads and we just need to keep going and keep getting wins and points on the board. We want to get as high as possible in the league and where that will take us we don't know yet but that's our aim. Still being in the FA Cup speaks for itself too." Rose has so far played half a dozen games for Accrington, three of which have come in their FA Cup run.
