Sky Sports understands former Accrington goalkeeper Ian Dunbavin is considering his options after leaving the club.
Dunbavin is reviewing offers that have been made to him following the termination of his contract at Accrington by mutual consent.
Chesterfield are thought to be weighing up a move for Dunbavin after having him on loan last season.
However, the former Liverpool youngster is keen to play on a regular basis and will remain in League Two to secure first team football if need be.
Dunbavin joined Accrington in 2006 and went on to make almost 150 appearances for the club.
