Accrington Stanley striker James Gray has spoken of his desire to stay at the Crown Ground.

The striker, who is out of contract this summer, finished the League Two season with three goals in his final two games. That took Gray's tally to seven and he is hoping the late surge will convince Stanley's hierarchy to offer him fresh terms. The 21-year-old said: "I would love to stay here. We will have to see what the gaffer says. "As long as I keep playing well hopefully I can earn a new contract whether it be here or somewhere else. "I love the club and the fans and everyone is close-knit. I am thankful for what Accrington have done for me so far."
