Teenage Accrington forward Marcus Carver has agreed a new 18-month contract with the League Two club.

The 19-year-old has made five first-team appearances since returning from a loan spell with Evo Stik Premier Division side Marine earlier this season, and will now remain at the Crown Ground until summer 2014. "I'm just glad that I've shown to the gaffer that I'm worth another shot," Carver said in a Stanley club statement. "I've had a couple of chances since I came back off loan and I'm looking for more. "I've got a full game under my belt, a 45 minutes and a few more minutes here and there but I just want to get into the first team every game and get as much playing time as possible."
