Preston North End have continued to bolster their squad after signing free agents Nicky Hunt and Aaron Brown on short-term contracts.
Experienced full-back Hunt was released by Bristol City before the transfer window closed, while centre-half Brown's contract was cancelled by Aldershot.
Former Bolton Wanderers defender Hunt has been training with Preston this week and has now been handed a deal by new boss Graham Westley.
Hunt made just eight appearances for City after joining from Bolton in 2010 and had not featured for the Championship club in well over a year.
Brown, meanwhile, had made just one substitute's appearance for Aldershot since mid-November and numbers Reading, Yeovil Town and Leyton Orient among his former clubs.
