Paolo Di Canio: Swindon boss could see his side join leaders Cheltenham at the summit

Swindon Town, Southend United and Crawley Town could all join League Two leaders Cheltenham Town at the summit on Saturday.

Cheltenham's game against AFC Wimbledon has fallen victim to the cold weather, allowing their promotion rivals the chance to close the gap.

Paulo Di Canio's Swindon are up to second after five wins on the bounce, the latest a fantastic 4-1 win at high-flying Southend on Tuesday.

Next up is a home clash with ninth-placed Burton who are looking to build on two successive draws.

Southend dropped to third on the back of the Swindon thrashing but will fancy their chances of getting back to winning ways at second-from-bottom Plymouth, who lost 1-0 at Port Vale last time.

Fourth-placed Crawley Town pulled off a memorable FA Cup giant-killing at Hull City last time and next travel to a Bradford side aiming to earn their first win in five attempts.

Unbeaten record

Down at the bottom, Aidy Boothroyd's struggling Northampton have lost three in succession to drop to the foot of the table, but opponents Macclesfield are in worse form having losing their last five league games.

Rotherham's match with Torquay has fallen victim to the weather after the pitch at Don Valley Stadium failed an inspection on Friday morning.

Gillingham's home clash against Hereford has also been postponed due to a frozen pitch after parts of the Priestfield Stadium pitch were deemed unplayable

The meeting between Morecambe and Dagenham & Redbridge at the Globe Arena has also fallen by the wayside following a Friday pitch inspection, along with Shrewsbury Town's game at home to Port Vale.

Crewe Alexandra's game at home to Accrington Stanley, Aldershot's fixture at home with Bristol Rovers and Barnet's trip to Oxford United have also been called off.
