League Two's top three all failed to win as Crawley Town joined Southend United and Cheltenham Town on level points at the summit.
Plymouth Argyle moved out of the relegation zone after a last-gasp equaliser against Crawley as Northampton Town and Dagenham & Redbridge both lost.
Swindon Town won again, AFC Wimbledon edged a seven-goal thriller and Oxford United defender Michael Duberry had an unforgettable afternoon.
Leaders Southend suffered defeat on their travels after Jermaine Grandison's 82nd minute goal earned 10-man Shrewsbury Town a 2-1 success.

Crawley were agonisingly close to going back to the top of the table, but Maxime Blanchard's last minute goal salvaged a 1-1 draw at home for struggling Plymouth Argyle.

Northampton Town also threw away an early advantage to remain bottom of the standings after going down 2-1 at home to fellow strugglers Barnet.
Swindon Town are now just three points off the automatic promotion spots after Paul Benson's 76th minute goal grabbed a 1-0 home win over Macclesfield Town.
Michael Duberry scored a stoppage-time equaliser to pinch a 2-2 draw for Oxford United at home to Hereford United, after the defender's brace of own goals had put the visitors in front.
Jack Midson scored twice in the final 10 minutes as AFC Wimbledon came from 3-1 down to pip Gillingham 4-3 at Priestfield.
Mark Ellis and Danny Stevens scored the goals as Torquay United compounded Morecambe's poor home form with a 2-1 win at the Globe Arena.
Rotherham United continue to struggle for consistency after Marc Richards' 57th minute penalty gave Port Vale a 1-0 triumph at Don Valley Stadium.
Aldershot Town's troubles in front of goal show no sign of coming to an end after a frustrating 0-0 draw at home to Accrington Stanley.
Bradford City were left to rue conceding a late equaliser after Chris Palmer's 85th minute effort earned Burton Albion a 1-1 draw at Valley Parade.
