Taylor and Hunt set to be sidelined until January

Ryan Taylor and Nicky Hunt have dealt Bristol City a double blow with the news that they are set to be sidelined until the New Year. The pair picked up injuries while turning out for the Robins in their Gloucestershire Senior Challenge Cup victory over Mangotsfield United on Tuesday. Striker Taylor has suffered a broken metatarsal and faces six to eight weeks out of action while former Bolton defender Hunt was stretchered from the field with knee cartilage damage. Both men are not expected to return before January, leaving manager Derek McInnes light on numbers heading into the busy festive period. Speaking to the club's official website, the Robins boss said: "Obviously we're disappointed to lose the two lads. "It's strange because Ryan says he's suffered a metatarsal injury on his other foot before, and Nicky likewise on his other knee. "The two lads are disappointed because they wanted the opportunity to show they are worthy of a place in the first team and now they are set for up to two months out on the sidelines."
