Walsall boss Dean Smith has dropped a strong hint that George Bowerman could be offered a new deal at the Banks's Stadium.
Bowerman's current terms expire in December after he was handed a six-month deal in the summer. The striker has impressed Smith. Bowerman scored all the goals in the 4-1 Birmingham Senior Cup win over Tividale last month and he is likely to start Wednesday night's second round trip to Hednesford. "He's done really well and he's pushing for a place," Smith told the Express & Star. "We'll start thinking about a contract, it's not a problem with us. If George deserves one then I'll sort it out, no problem."
