Hornets youngster commits future to club

Piero Mingoia has been rewarded with a new Watford deal that will keep him at Vicarage Road until 2013. The 19-year-old has made only two starts and two substitute appearances for the Hornets but is highly thought of by boss Malky Mackay. Mingoia also marked his first-team debut with a stunning goal against Hartlepool in the FA Cup in January. He has now expressed his joy at signing a contract extension and is looking forward to continuing his development over the next couple of years. "I really am delighted. It shows the club have a lot of faith in me and I want to repay that trust as best I can," he told the club's official website. "I've been in and around the matchday squad a lot this season without playing too much but I feel I have progressed as a player."
