Race on for third spot and also to avoid the drop

Saturday sees a host of crucial games in League Two as promotion and relegation issues are still to be decided. MK Dons and Peterborough have secured promotion but the third automatic spot is still very much up for grabs. Hereford currently occupy third place and need an away win at Brentford to maintain their push for League One. But fourth-place Rochdale will be hoping for victory at Bury in the North West derby to close the four-point gap. Fifth-placed Stockport can also still gain automatic promotion, being four points behind Hereford, and they have a crucial game in hand, starting with Barnet away on Saturday. At the league's summit, leaders MK Dons travel to in-form Bradford aiming for the victory needed to give them the title. A win would also give Paul Ince's men a place in the record books as they would equal Doncaster's haul of 18 league away victories in the 1946/47 season. Second-placed Peterborough are four points behind and travel to face a Grimsby side desperate for a win after losing their last seven on the bounce.

Relegation games

Down at the bottom, several teams face crucial clashes which will go a long way to deciding who drops out of the league with Wrexham. Second-from-bottom Mansfield face mid-table Rotherham at home, while third-from-bottom Dagenham face an away trip to Darlington, who are assured of a play-off berth. Notts County are only two points from the drop and they face a home tie with seventh-placed Wycombe - who are also assured of the play-offs - while Chester are also in deep trouble and face a tricky trip to Shrewsbury. Macclesfield are also still not safe, sitting four points above the drop zone, and they take on Chesterfield at home. In the other League Two clashes, Morecambe take on Lincoln in a mid-table clash and relegated Wrexham play Accrington, who are now safe.
