Grimsby, who had lost their previous five matches, took the lead after just nine minutes courtesy of Peter Till's fourth goal of the season. Bradford, who had lost once in their previous seven games, equalised just past the hour mark through Peter Thorne's 15th goal of the campaign and Colbeck hit the winner at the death.
Bury clinched a fifth successive win at Gigg Lane with a narrow victory over lowly Macclesfield Town. Elliott Bennett, who is on loan from Wolves, struck his first goal for the Shakers two minutes before half-time to settle a tight contest.
Darlington came from behind to book their top-seven spot and end Chesterfield's play-off interest in the process. The in-form Jamie Ward put Chesterfield in front five minutes after half-time with his seventh goal in six games for Lee Richardson's side. Darlington, who had failed to win in their previous six matches, equalised on 68 minutes through Tommy Wright's 15th goal of the season.
Darren Ferguson's side clinched promotion to League One in his first full season as manager after a hard-fought win over rivals Hereford. Peterborough, who have not lost away from home in 2008, scored the only goal on 29 minutes when Dean Keates headed home his fifth goal of the season following a cross from the right.
Lincoln are looking to finish the season with a flourish after an impressive second-half performance against Brentford. Teenage midfielder Gary King marked his first start for Lincoln by scoring his first goal in professional football after 39 minutes. But Brentford were level before the break when Nathan Elder grabbed just his fifth goal of the campaign in stoppage time. Jamie Forrester, who scored both goals in last week's win at Chester, put Lincoln back in front on 67 minutes and Lee Frecklington added a third on 83 minutes.
Mansfield remain in with a big shout of survival after Michael Boulding's hat-trick lifted the Stags to within a point of Dagenham. After gaining their first win under Paul Simpson last week, Shrewsbury went ahead inside the opening two minutes when Jason White failed to keep out Marc Pugh's shot from the edge of the box. But the prolific Boulding turned the game on its head by scoring twice for Mansfield before half-time, firstly equalising on 22 minutes with a simple finish from Matt Hamshaw's cross. On 37 minutes, Boulding notched his 24th of the season with a smart turn and shot following more good work by Hamshaw. Boulding completed his hat-trick on 87 minutes after latching on to a flick-on and finishing confidently past Scott Bevan.
Rochdale ensured they will be involved in the play-offs after a seventh successive victory at Spotland. On-loan striker Rene Howe continued his sparkling form for Dale with his sixth goal in five appearances after 66 minutes.
Rotherham provided some cheer on the pitch at least with a hard-fought win over lowly Dagenham. The Millers were in front after just six minutes when Mark Hudson scored from the penalty spot after Ryan Taylor had been brought down by Scott Griffiths. The hosts extended their lead on 41 minutes when Danny Harrison volleyed home with a crisp effort from the edge of the box. Dagenham managed to score on 52 minutes when Ben Strevens turned home his 19th goal of the season when a scramble ensued following a corner.
MK Dons celebrated their promotion in style with a thrilling win to end Stockport's 10-match unbeaten run. Sean O'Hanlon headed against the crossbar for the visitors before Stockport took the lead on 30 minutes through Liam Dickinson's cracking effort. But that advantage lasted barely 60 seconds after Mark Wright replied for MK Dons with his 15th goal of the campaign. The Hatters reclaimed the lead on 58 minutes when Adam Proudlock made an immediate impact as a substitute with a fine finish past Willy Gueret. But once again the lead lasted barely a minute as Alan Navarro applied the final touch to draw MK Dons level. Paul Ince's side, who are now unbeaten in 16 League Two matches, then snatched the winner on 74 minutes when captain Keith Andrews, who had been an injury concern, chipped his shot over John Ruddy.
Neil Roberts' 77th minute goal secured a first win in eight matches for Wrexham to leave Brian Little's side still clinging to the prospect of survival.
Wycombe guaranteed a play-off spot after battling to a slender win at home to Chester. Leading scorer Scott McGleish netted the only goal of the match with just 12 minutes remaining.
