Wrexham want Griffiths

Wrexham want Llanelli striker Rhys Griffiths - if he will give up his part-time job.

Wrexham are hoping to sign Llanelli striker Rhys Griffiths - but must first convince him to give up his part-time job as a firefighter.

Griffiths has been in fine form so far this year for the Welsh Premier League club, firing the club up to second in the table with 23 goals in 22 league and cup games.

But, while Llanelli are a full-time club, the former Cwmbran Town and Port Talbot Town man is still on a part-time deal, and Wrexham boss Dennis Smith knows the player will need to to be persuaded if he is to make the move north.

"It will be difficult, but I will try to persuade Rhys that a move into the Football League could reap big rewards over time," he told icwales.co.uk.
