Young Dragons sign on

Wrexham have handed new contracts to three of their most promising players.

Wrexham have handed new contracts to three of their most promising players.

Mike Williams, Matty Done and Michael Jones have all put pen-to-paper on fresh deals.

Defender Williams has committed himself to the Racecourse club until 2009, while Done and Jones have signed 18-month contracts.

"Too often in the recent past we have been unable to begin talks with players and then seen them walk away when their contracts have expired," said a delighted Wrexham boss Denis Smith.

"Now things are changing back, I have more scope to sit down and chat with the players about their futures.

"First on my list has been talking to Mike, Matty and Michael, and I'm delighted that they have shown a commitment to the club."
