The 23-year-old marksman has only recently returned from a month-long lay-off with a knee ligament injury, but with just 15 minutes gone in his comeback game, he was forced to leave the field to have his finger seen to.
He did return after it was put into a splint, but he is awaiting the result of a scan to see if he needs an operation to pin the finger back together.
"I just caught my finger as I challenged for the ball and it bent backwards," he said.
"It took a few minutes in the treatment room to straighten the finger up and bandage it up, with a little splint, before I was able to get back on the pitch. There was no way it was going to stop me from playing, especially after being out for nearly a month."
Red Dragons boss Denis Smith will also hope his star striker does not need surgery with the club embroiled in a relegation scrap.
"Craig will be going to hospital first thing on Monday morning to check how badly he broke his finger in the first half," he said.
"It's not that important, because he can play on with it strapped up, the problem could come if he requires an operation to pin it back together. That could mean him missing games, but that would be something we would have to deal with at the time."
