Bury are ready to send goalkeeper Rob Lainton out on loan following the arrival of Scott Loach, Sky Sports understands.

Loach, who joined Bury earlier this month from Rotherham, has become first-choice keeper in David Flitcroft's plans since his arrival.

Former England Under 21 international Loach is on loan at Gigg Lane until January 17th and Bury are prepared to let Lainton leave on a temporary basis in search of regular action.

Lainton started the season as No.1 keeper at Bury and in 15 appearances he only ended up on the losing side three times with Bury losing their last two games since Lainton dropped out of the starting XI.

The 25-year-old joined Bury in 2013 after leaving Bolton and he enjoyed a successful spell on loan at Burton Albion last season
