Jalal set for Bury exit

Goalkeeper Shwan Jalal appears set to leave Bury before the loan deadline, manager David Flitcroft has conceded.

The 31-year-old began the campaign as the Shakers' number-one stopper after arriving at the JD Stadium following his release from Bournemouth. However, an early injury saw him lose his place to Rob Lainton and although he played a trio of games in October, his last appearance came in the 3-2 loss at AFC Wimbledon. The arrival of Scott Loach on loan this week suggested that one of Jalal or Lainton could be moving on, and Flitcroft has confirmed it is the latter who may be jettisoned given he has struggled to adapt to life in the north west. "With Scott coming in it's an opportunity for us to maybe look at getting Shwan out," the Bury boss said. "It's just not worked out. It's a difficult move sometimes; you move all your family up and things can get a bit difficult when you're not number one. When you come up and your playing it can mask a lot. "He's not been able to force himself in as a number one. But he's been great about the place, he's supported Rob and three's probably a crowd now. "We'll have a look at that. We'll sit down this week, chat to the lads and let them know what we're doing moving forward. "When a keeper comes up of Scott's ability, and you've got the support network that I have, you've got to be able to take it."
